Il s\u2019agit d\u2019une esp\u00e8ce parmi les plus color\u00e9es. Il existe, chez les m\u00e2les, deux patrons de coloration, jaune et orange fluo. Cas rare chez le genre <i>Uromastyx<\/i>, les fouette\u2013queues du Niger peuvent vivre en groupe, les m\u00e2les \u00e9galement peuvent cohabiter sans heurt.
